Hexagon madness

It appears I have infected some of my students with the hexagon craze.
Carol is using La Belle Fleur to make her hexagons.

Christine has used Paris Flea Market to make this beautiful table centre.

Here's Ann working with Jubilee to make these beautiful hexagons that will soon be made into something wonderful.

Donna is making great progress with her hexagons and Tilda fabric, below.

And Judy's Japanese fabrics seem to change shape each week.

Block 1 of Chateau Hexagon is finished. I did have a small hiccup with the appliqued pots.

This was last nights effort before the unpicking.  Too much wine at the weekend, maybe!!

And today I had a play with some music sheets and doileys to make some bunting.
They have been sewn together and are hanging in the shop, but I forgot to photograph them!
Next post I hope.

Finishing projects

Some projects take a while to get finished. This bag has been sitting around since Christmas, but I finally finished it.

Other  projects take only a couple of days. This wombat quilt came together very quickly and now just needs Leanne to quilt it and someone to take a quality photo to do it justice!

I am keeping up with my "It's time for Christmas" project. I have joined the first three blocks together in a slightly altered format. How many of you are working on this Homespun magazine quilt? And are you keeping up?

Chateau Hexagon

Chateau Hexagon Image WEB

We love Lynettes  button clubs so much that we have signed up to participate in Chateau Hexagon. This will start very soon so email me to put your name down. These are some of fabrics we will be using and I have even made a start on the hexagons using Helen's hexies. See Lynette's tutorial on her blog, they are so easy, quick and fun.

New cushions

Always good to finish a couple of new cushions. The top one was made using some
Tilda leftover fabric and the bottom one was made from a mini charm of Paris Flea Market. I still have the hexagon bug.

Some new Kaffe Fassett fabrics must get back to my Craftsy blocks, before I start cutting
 into these fabrics!

Here's Christina's quilt part quilted. Lovely quilt Chrsitina.

Trying to keep up.

I thought I was going to post more often this year, but it appears I can't change.
I have been very good at finishing my Homespun Christmas stitcheries.

This quilt looks much better finished, thanks to Leanne's quilting.

And this one will also look great as soon as we get time to quilt it.
An old favourite that I have made with new fabric.

We enjoyed a lovely Easter at home visiting some of the events around the state.
This was at the start of the 3 Peaks Race. A very enjoyable day.

Then we headed to Sheffield for another  great day. Catching up with some older murals and watching new ones evolve.

I apologise to anyone that came to the shop on Saturday when we were closed. I had a touch of vertigo and wasn't able to open. I am fully okay and hope I don't have any more episodes!
Thank you to all those that left comments on my facebook page.

Bits and pieces

How good is Saffron's kookaburra. Not sure what I will do with him yet.

Had a good sewing day yesterday. Finished sewing these braid strips from the La Belle Fleur jellyroll that I started the last long weekend. Finished making the oriental blocks for a new sample and put a table runner together.Only need some free time and I may finish some quilts!
Stitched this sample for the Homespun BOM. I am still on target, I wonder how long it will last.
And finally for today, another new fabric.
