New cushions

Always good to finish a couple of new cushions. The top one was made using some
Tilda leftover fabric and the bottom one was made from a mini charm of Paris Flea Market. I still have the hexagon bug.

Some new Kaffe Fassett fabrics must get back to my Craftsy blocks, before I start cutting
 into these fabrics!

Here's Christina's quilt part quilted. Lovely quilt Chrsitina.

Trying to keep up.

I thought I was going to post more often this year, but it appears I can't change.
I have been very good at finishing my Homespun Christmas stitcheries.

This quilt looks much better finished, thanks to Leanne's quilting.

And this one will also look great as soon as we get time to quilt it.
An old favourite that I have made with new fabric.

We enjoyed a lovely Easter at home visiting some of the events around the state.
This was at the start of the 3 Peaks Race. A very enjoyable day.

Then we headed to Sheffield for another  great day. Catching up with some older murals and watching new ones evolve.

I apologise to anyone that came to the shop on Saturday when we were closed. I had a touch of vertigo and wasn't able to open. I am fully okay and hope I don't have any more episodes!
Thank you to all those that left comments on my facebook page.

Bits and pieces

How good is Saffron's kookaburra. Not sure what I will do with him yet.

Had a good sewing day yesterday. Finished sewing these braid strips from the La Belle Fleur jellyroll that I started the last long weekend. Finished making the oriental blocks for a new sample and put a table runner together.Only need some free time and I may finish some quilts!
Stitched this sample for the Homespun BOM. I am still on target, I wonder how long it will last.
And finally for today, another new fabric.

Some new fabric from Saffron Craig featuring wombats. Too cute.

A new top waiting for Leanne to quilt. We have kits and it comes with a story book.

Another quick quilt that I have just finished. Very easy featuring alternate plain and stack and slash blocks. We also have kits available for this quilt.

And below is a picture of the goodies I am giving away for my 100th post! There is a cute moda bag, 35 x 3" strips of very pretty fabrics, a couple of patterns and two new candy packs of 2 1/2" squares.

A busy few weeks.

I may have been absent for a couple of weeks but I haven't been idle.  I have finished the first part of the new Homespun Magazine BOM. At this rate I should have the quilt finished for Christmas :) . This is a lovely block of the month by Bronwyn Hayes and uses many of the French General fabrics. I couldn't wait to use the new La Belle Fleur range.

I have also been playing with Helen's Hexies. The table centre was made using the Lario from 3 sisters range of 2 1/2" squares

And I have finished the top of the Cottage Garden BOM quilt by Fig and Berry.
Sorry this photo does not do it justice.
I will take another one this week.

Craftsy 2012 blocks

I was looking back over some earlier posts and realized that I hadn't put up all my Craftsy blocks. Things went a bit crazy last year and I got way behind. I even contenmplated not finishing these but towards the end of last year I became enthused again. Some of the blocks I am not very pleased with but I will still use them.

This block replaced the one below. I followed the instructions and this was the result.
Too wonky for me too use so I unpicked it and made another my way.

The hexagons took a while to complete, but they finally came together. I have now completed 15 blocks -only 5 more to go.
